At the same time, we will actively promote the new energy automobile industry to achieve higher-quality development. Cultivate more leading Chinese companies, continuously improve corporate competitiveness, pay more attention to the collaboration between industry leading companies and upstream and downstream component companies, and enhance the resilience of the industrial chain.
In recent years, my country's new energy vehicle industry has developed rapidly and its competitiveness continues to increase. The number of new energy vehicles in my country exceeds 20 million, and a number of new energy vehicle companies with global competitive advantages are being formed.
Huo Fupeng, deputy director of the Industry Department of the National Development and Reform Commission, mentioned that China's new energy vehicles have formed a comparative advantage in the world. The competitiveness of my country's new energy vehicles mainly comes from the guidance of green development concepts, the support of a complete industrial chain, the support of a huge market, and the promotion of an open innovation ecosystem. Under the guidance of policies, my country's automobile industry has accelerated its electrification transformation. The production and sales of new energy vehicles have ranked first in the world for nine consecutive years, with more than half of the world's fleet. my country's global market share of power batteries and key materials exceeds 60%, with more than 9 million charging infrastructure units built and more than 150 companies on the whitelist for power battery recycling. my country has the world's largest new energy vehicle consumer market, accounting for more than 60% of global sales.
Huo Fupeng also said that my country is also one of the largest and most open automobile markets in the world. Global automobile companies are welcome to deeply integrate into the Chinese market and industrial chain system and share development results. At the same time, support Chinese enterprises in strengthening international cooperation, further improving the level of electrification and intelligence in the global automobile industry, and contributing China's strength.
